How courses work

The relationship between courses, modules, and lessons.

Every course on learnfrom uses the same three-level structure: a course contains modules, and each module contains lessons. That's it.

The three levels

  • Course — the top-level container. Has a title, description, price, visibility, and theme.
  • Module — a chapter or section. Used to group related lessons.
  • Lesson — the actual content: a video, a downloadable file, or a quiz.

Why it's structured this way

Modules let students see how the course is organized without scrolling through every lesson. They also let you reuse the same structure across different teaching styles — short courses use a few modules with many lessons; longer programs use many modules with fewer lessons each.

Tip:You don't have to plan the whole course upfront. Add a module, drop in a few lessons, and you can rearrange everything later.
