With the right permissions, an assistant can do most of what you do in the dashboard: create courses, add modules and lessons, write lesson content, set price and visibility, publish, upload videos from a link, and invite or remove students.
Example prompts
- “Create a course called ‘Sourdough for Beginners’ with three modules: Getting started, Baking and Troubleshooting. Add two lessons to each with short Markdown notes. Keep it private, I'll review it first.”
- “Import this video as the first lesson of my Baking module: https://example.com/intro.mp4. Tell me when it has finished processing.”
- “Make my Sourdough course public and publish it. Show me the link when it's live.”
- “Invite these people to Sourdough for Beginners: ann@example.com, bob@example.com. Then show me how far along my current students are.”
Tip:Ask the assistant to describe what it is about to do for anything that sends email or deletes content. It will show a preview and ask you first.
Safety limits
- Previews before risky actions. Deleting, removing a student, or inviting more than 10 people at once first shows what would happen and needs a second, matching confirmation.
- Invitations do not charge you. Invited people are not enrolled until they accept, and per-student billing starts then. The assistant sees the expected cost in the preview.
- Daily email cap. Up to 200 invitation emails a day (25 a day for accounts under a week old).
- Students who paid cannot be removed by an assistant. Use refunds in the dashboard.
- Automatic stop. A connection that makes an unusual number of changes is suspended automatically, and you can see why in the activity log.
Note:Assistants treat text in your courses and your students' names as data, not instructions. Still, only connect assistants you trust, and review what they publish.
